The typical starting dose is 50 mg by mouth once a day for 5 days. If you didn’t successfully get pregnant after taking this course, your dose will most likely be raised to 100 mg by mouth once a day for 5 days during your next cycle.

With any medication, there are risks and benefits. Even if the medication is working, you may experience some unwanted side effects.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:
- Allergic reactions
- Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome: Severe pelvic or stomach pain and swelling along with nausea, vomiting, sudden weight gain, diarrhea, trouble breathing, and trouble urinating
